I would like to thank you for the privilege of serving you for a second term, and I’m proud to share some of our progress over the past two years. The Town expanded its communications with citizens; secured a long-term water agreement with Fairfax Water; and made investments in the Town’s infrastructure. The Town had a record number of single family homes redevelop and entered into a PPEA agreement for a parking facility behind a new commercial building on Church Street. The Maple Avenue Steering Committee is making recommendations for ordinance changes along the Town’s main commercial corridor.
Even though the Town has made a number of enhancements, there are always opportunities to improve services, communications and overall efficiency. I would like the Town to develop a series of performance measures so departments can see whether they are delivering quality services to the citizens. I believe it is important government works on behalf of its citizens and provides the services that are valuable to the community while maintaining fiscal responsibility.
I have an MBA in finance and a professional background in finance and human resources. I have served the Town as Vice-Chair of the Transportation Safety Commission, Chair of the Planning Commission, and currently as a Council member. I believe it is essential for the Town’s long-term viability to have citizen involvement and input. I ask for your vote on May 7th so I can continue to listen and work on your behalf.
