It has been a privilege to serve Vienna for a third term on Town Council.
This past year has been productive for the Town. Vienna maintained its AAA bond rating and was recognized as the third Best Town by Money Magazine. In addition, we had a record number of single lot redevelopments and completed a draft ordinance for Maple Avenue Vision. Following Mayor Seeman’s legacy of thoughtful growth, I am running for Mayor. Although Vienna remains economically strong, there are always opportunities to improve the Town’s services and overall efficiency.
I believe it is important that government works on behalf of its citizens and provides services that are valuable to the community. I would like to see the Town develop a series of performance measures on core services. I actively support the final phase of Maple Avenue Vision, which should be complete this summer. I will continue to support regular investments in infrastructure so the Town’s water and sewer lines, roads and sidewalks remain sound. I would like to see the Town continue to expand its transportation network with new sidewalks, bicycle routes and bus services.
Vienna has an amazing network of volunteers, community groups and small businesses that give of their time and talent for the betterment of the Town. I am running for Mayor to utilize my experience and leadership as the Town faces future opportunities and challenges. Working together we can continue to make Vienna a special place to live and work.
